During the past years CHDR has collected a database containing more than 9000 subjects and patients. Due to the regular contact between our recruitment office and the subjects our database is kept up to date.
Website
Our website provides subjects information concerning clinical trials at CHDR. General information about drug development is discussed as well as for example safety issues. Furthermore, it contains a brief description of all the studies where subjects are required, It includes amongst others the requirements to participate and how to subscribe for the study.
Healthy volunteers vs patient studies
Besides healthy volunteers, our database contains several patient groups. Some examples are:
- Diabetic patients
- Hypertension patients
- Migraine patients
- Patients with asthma
- Essential tremor patients
- Healthy elderly people
Communication media
The most important issue in recruiting subjects is chosing the proper media to advert. Different options are used to recruit subjects:
- Newspaper and magazines
- (Local) Radio
- (Local) TV
- Promotional activities at universities
- Sports events like marathons etc.
- Sponsoring: CHDR sponsors several activities i.e. sport clubs, university clubs and charity.
VIP check
Due to ethical, medical and legal grounds it is prohibited for subjects to participate more than four times a year in a clinical study. To guarantee the safety of trial subjects (Volunteers) CHDR has joined VIP (Volunteer Inclusion Period) Check. VIP check is the international, central registration system for trial subjects participating in clinical studies. VIP Check increases:
- The protection of the institutions which responsibly conduct clinical studies
- The (self) protection of the trial subjects.
- The quality of the clinical study.
